Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA, is seeking an RN to deliver evidence-based inpatient oncology care on the Mount Auburn Hospital collaboration. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and safely administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive therapies, while educating patients and families and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team.

You will work in the inpatient oncology float pool during night shifts, with a 36-hour weekly schedule and rotating

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing; BSN preferred; ADN holders must complete a BSN within 4 years.
• 1 year of recent RN experience preferred; oncology/hematology in inpatient or ambulatory infusion setting preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records (Epic) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct oncology nursing care with comprehensive assessment, care planning, symptom management, and evaluation of outcomes.
• Administer antineoplastic therapies per protocols; monitor for infusion reactions and adverse events.
• Manage central venous access devices (ports, PICCs) including access, maintenance, blood draws, and transfusions.
• Provide patient and family education on diagnosis, treatment, self-care, and discharge instructions; coordinate multidisciplinary resources.
• Document care in Epic; maintain accurate med records and education documentation.
• Participate in quality and safety activities and support clinical research protocols as applicable.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, pharmacists, social workers, and research staff; may serve as charge nurse or preceptor.
