Job summary

Dessert Holdings is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our 3rd shift manufacturing operations in Humble, TX. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment to maximize reliability and minimize downtime, with emphasis on PLCs, 480V systems, VFDs, and sensors.

The position requires adherence to SQF, HACCP, and GMP quality and food-safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of industrial electrical and mechanical systems.
• Hands-on PLC troubleshooting in an automated environment.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and OEM docs.
• Experience with 480V electrical systems, VFDs, sensors, and motor controls.
• Must have own tools; on-site within two weeks of hire.
• Willing to work overtime, including weekends, as needed.
• Proficiency with CMMS documentation and basic computer skills.
• Must obtain HACCP certification.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot PLCs and automated control systems to identify faults.
• Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems up to 480 V.
• Repair VFDs, sensors, motors, and motor controls.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and process-control failures.
• Read electrical diagrams and OEM documents to support repairs.
• Complete preventive maintenance activities to reduce downtime.
• Participate in RCA for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Repair and adjust production machinery and equipment.
• Install and test gearboxes, bearings, shafts, and other power-transmission parts.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic systems and use diagnostic equipment.
• Document maintenance activities in the CMMS.
• Lead maintenance tasks for assigned line area and support safety requirements.
