Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a maintenance technician for night shift at our Cincinnati plant. The role involves performing routine and extensive preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems, including PLCs, motors, conveyors and steam/boiler controls.

The ideal candidate has strong electrical aptitude, extensive troubleshooting experience in a production environment, and the ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Military training or technical school preferred.
• Strong electrical aptitude with extensive troubleshooting experience.
• Operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery including motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3-phase power and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production machinery functions correctly and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic, compressor, and vacuum systems.
• Work on motors, conveyors, AC/DC drives and PLC troubleshooting.
• Handle steam and boiler controls and mechanical power drives.
• Perform predictive and preventative maintenance activities.
• Follow plant safety and environmental guidelines and complete paperwork in a timely manner.
