Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Twin Falls, ID is seeking a Journeyman Technician to maintain, test, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in our manufacturing environment.

With a 12-hour night shift, you will use CMMS to plan preventative maintenance, troubleshoot PLCs, read drawings, and support production. A 2-3 year background in electro-mechanical automation and a high school diploma are required; we offer training and a competitive salary plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years electro-mechanical automation system installation & troubleshooting experience.
• Ideal candidate will have mechanical and electrical experience, familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics and basic troubleshooting experience.
• Must be computer literate with Microsoft environment and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provides maintenance information by using CMMS.
• Operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery (motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, controls).
• Use strong PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving ability with mechanical & electrical aptitude.
• Read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Maintain production equipment to a reliable level of production through preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
