Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) at its Byesville, Ohio facility. The role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and supports continuous production with emphasis on equipment uptime, troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and 3–5 years of electronics troubleshooting in an industrial setting; PLC/HMI experience and knowledge of AB/Siemens PLCs are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3–5 years electronics troubleshooting experience in an industrial environment is strongly required.
• PLC/HMI programming experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Allen-Bradley (A/B) and Siemens PLCs strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of AC/DC drives.
• Knowledge in induction heating and welding equipment.
• Knowledge in Servo Drive Systems.
• Knowledge in automated packaging systems and/or robotics.

Responsibilities

• Organize and facilitate maintenance on all production and facility equipment with emphasis on uptime and resolving quality and production issues.
• Repair and rebuild electrical and mechanical components.
• Install, modify and fabricate equipment and systems to meet production needs and schedules.
• Conduct routine maintenance of electrical equipment, wiring, and resources.
• Work with maintenance and production personnel in analyzing and troubleshooting equipment failures.
• Communicate maintenance situations clearly across shifts to supervisors and managers.
• Participate in plant-wide efforts toward quality, safety, and housekeeping.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
