Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment in a manufacturing setting. You will handle various machinery and building systems, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and reliability.

The position operates on a 3rd shift schedule (Sun-Thu, 11:00pm–7:30am) with a $0.40/hour shift differential and may include a performance-based bonus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of work experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on equipment.
• Repair broken machines and equipment quickly and efficiently.
• Identify causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
• Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts.
• Order and install replacement parts for machines.
• Assist in electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs.
• Assist in pipe fitting tasks and perform some installation unassisted.
• Maintain and service building equipment including HVAC, lighting, water and sewer, etc.
• Maintain documentation as required.
• Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and otherwise maintain shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
• Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
• Maintain technical knowledge through training.
