Job summary
Biewer Lumber is seeking an experienced maintenance electrician to install, repair, and improve electrical systems across our Mississippi facilities. You will interpret blueprints and schematics, troubleshoot complex equipment, and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Responsibilities include coordinating with contractors, ensuring OSHA-compliant practices, and maintaining accurate maintenance records.
Qualifications
- Two years of formal technical training in electricity or five years of experience in electrical systems in manufacturing.
- State electrician licensure or certification desired.
- Experience in heavy industrial environments and proficiency with PLCs and control systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, repair and modify industrial electrical wiring, equipment, instrumentation per codes and blueprints.
- Complete preventive maintenance programs for electrical systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot production equipment using electrical and mechanical skills.
- Follow safety policies, report unsafe conditions and participate in safety trainings.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors on electrical projects.
