Job summary

Sugar Creek Packing Co. is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to install, maintain and repair electrical systems in our plant. You will read drawings, diagnose issues, and perform preventive maintenance on motors, switchgear and instrumentation.

The role requires 4+ years of journey-level experience or a four-year technical program plus two years. Strong knowledge of NFPA 70/79, OSHA standards, and PLCs is expected. Works on-site with a team, following safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Four years journey-level electrical experience or completion of a four-year accredited technical program with two years experience.
• NFPA 70/NFPA 79 knowledge and OSHA electrical standards.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics and electrical code specifications.
• Proficient in CMMS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes.
• Read drawings, blueprints and schematics to plan installations.
• Install, test, and maintain wiring, fixtures and conduits.
• Test equipment for continuity, voltage and resistance.
• Troubleshoot and repair control systems and motors.
• Operate forklift and maintain safety practices.
• Document maintenance in CMMS.
• Assist with project scopes and quotes.
