Job summary

Shearer’s Foods is seeking an Industrial Electrician for the night shift at our food manufacturing facility. The role involves analyzing circuits, wiring diagrams, installing, repairing, calibrating and maintaining electronic devices and systems in a GMP environment.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and electronics training; AB PLC and frequency drive experience are preferred. Must be able to stand for extended periods and work rotating shifts, with a safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational school or technical college training in electronics preferred.
• Stable work history and good attendance expected.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to GMPs, Food Safety requirements and company policies.
• Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams to install, repair, calibrate electronic devices and systems.
• Perform work requiring knowledge of electrical theory, codes, materials, and equipment operation.
• Start up and shut down equipment per safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Service electronics by testing and replacing faulty components and circuitry.
• Install, repair, and maintain communication and power cables and related materials.
• Determine and implement running adjustments and overhauls as needed.
• Notify supervisor of dangerous equipment and corrective actions.
