Job summary

Nestlé USA is hiring an Electrician to maintain and improve electrical systems across our manufacturing facility in Illinois. You will work hands-on with plant equipment, collaborate with mechanics and operators, and drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires 2-3 years of industrial electrical experience, a State Electrician License or ISA CCST Level 1, and strong ability to read English safety procedures and maintenance docs.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of industrial electrical or automation experience in a food/consumer goods environment is preferred.
• State Electrician License, ISA CCST Level 1 or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand English for safety and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues including controls, drives, PLCs, and safety devices.
• Improve equipment performance through control and program updates.
• Support mechanics and operators with electrical diagnostics and repairs.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and calibration of electrical/instrumentation systems.
• Update electrical schematics and documentation to reflect changes.
• Support installation and startup of new equipment and facility upgrades.
• Participate in shutdowns and continuous improvement activities.
• Adhere to safety, quality, food safety, and environmental requirements.
