Job summary

Target is seeking an Inbound Expert to support General Merchandise operations on the sales floor. You will sort, stock and straighten merchandise, maintain product availability, and assist guests with a friendly, efficient service mindset.

You’ll work in a fast-paced retail setting, handling scanners, cash operations when needed, and operating equipment safely. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and guest satisfaction across varying shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and follow a multi-step processes.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Execute a detailed, accurate and efficient sorting operation.
• Stock, organize and store reserve product and straighten merchandise on sales floor.
• Maintain product availability on the salesfloor for GM categories.
• Operate powered equipment as necessary while unloading freight or moving merchandise.
• Process defective merchandise and handle environmentally sensitive items in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with safety policies, practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up and Drive up while maintaining compliance with laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks.
• When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their needs.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• All other duties based on business needs.
