Job summary

MercyOne Trinity Health in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Float RN Nights to provide ICU care on the 7 PM - 7 AM shift. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week.

You will assess patients, develop outcome-based care plans, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, administer medications safely, and document thoroughly. ECMO management experience is beneficial; relocation incentives and night differential enhance the package.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license; BLS, Mandatory Reporter.
• ACLS within 12 months of hire.
• Cardiac monitoring course or CCU/critical care training.
• NVCI training within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to work under pressure and with independence.

Responsibilities

• Assessment & Planning: Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments and develops outcome-based care plans.
• Care Implementation: Coordinates and delivers patient care, delegating tasks and collaborating with teams.
• Evaluation & Documentation: Reassesses patients, updates care plans, and documents thoroughly.
• Communication: Clearly communicates patient status and needs across teams and during shifts.
• Clinical Competence: Administers medications safely and follows protocols.
• ECMO Management: Provides advanced ECMO care when applicable and documents data.
• Age-Appropriate Care: Delivers care based on age and development.
• Safety & Compliance: Follows infection control and regulatory standards.
• Professional Integrity: Adheres to policies and pursues ongoing professional development.
