Job summary

MercyOne Trinity Health in Des Moines, IA, is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 12-hour night shift on a full-time basis. The role includes night and weekend shift differential and a relocation incentive eligibility.

The position emphasizes high-risk, critically ill patients and ECMO support where applicable. Qualifications include an Associate degree (BSN preferred), Iowa RN license, BLS, Mandatory Reporter, and ACLS within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license; IL license if working in IL.
• BLS and Mandatory Reporter certifications.
• ACLS within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments and develops outcome-based care plans.
• Coordinates patient care and delegates tasks, collaborating with the team.
• Regularly reassesses patients, updates care plans, and documents thoroughly.
• Communicates patient status and needs across teams and during shifts.
• Maintains clinical competence and safely administers medications.
• Provides advanced ECMO care when applicable, including data documentation.
• Delivers age-appropriate care and ensures infection control and safety standards.
• Upholds professional integrity and participates in ongoing professional development.
