Job summary

FatBoy in Utah seeks a Quality Control Technician to ensure products meet quality and food-safety standards in a fast-paced ice cream environment. You will perform QC checks, inspections, swabbing, and audits while supporting production operations.

Responsibilities include data entry, record keeping, and enforcing food safety practices. This role may involve allergen handling and working around industrial equipment in room-temperature to subzero conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum of one year of quality or food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food safety programs such as HACCP, GMPs, and SOPs.
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
• Strong work ethic with high attention to detail.
• Detail oriented in data collection, documentation, and record keeping.
• Fluent reading and writing skills, including basic technical document comprehension.
• Basic math skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and general computer operations.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures with precision and accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including effective communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution.
• Demonstrated problem solving ability and sound judgment in decision making.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine quality control checks throughout the production process.
• Conduct pre operation inspections and swabbing, and complete internal audits.
• Conduct metal detector verification checks and coding verification.
• Provide production assistance as needed.
