Job summary

Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, Inc. is seeking a QA Technician to execute raw material and finished product testing, monitor in-process inspections, and maintain comprehensive quality records.

The role emphasizes GMP compliance, food safety, and timely communication of QA findings across cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include supporting line inspections, assisting with HACCP checks, and ensuring products meet “ready to eat” quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Aptitude for automated mechanical processes with good troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, math and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work multiple shifts and/or schedules.
• One year of related experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Test raw materials and finished products; monitor and verify in-process inspections.
• Perform standard microbial, chemical, analytical, and physical or sensory testing.
• Maintain logs and records (e.g., non-conforming materials, corrective action log, extended run logs, environmental results logs).
• Comply with GMP, quality and food safety requirements and communicate QA findings to management.
• Support QA audits and HACCP checks as needed.
• Line inspections and QA duties on the production floor; escalate findings when necessary.
