Job summary

Baxter International Inc. in the United States is seeking an HVAC Technician, Maintenance - Manufacturing. This salaried non-exempt role ensures safe and efficient operation of plant equipment through hands-on maintenance and initiatives.

Shift: Sunday - Thursday 7pm - 3am. You will support PMT and TPM, collaborate with Engineering, perform equipment modifications, and contribute to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement across the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to obtain universal HVAC certification within 6 months.
• Minimum of 5 years of mechanical systems repair or industrial maintenance.
• Basic English written and oral communication.
• Understand safety and quality instructions and read work instructions.
• Basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills.
• Well organized and self-motivated.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in tight spaces.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach, twist, and balance.
• Color vision for diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Directly supports PMT, TPM, and energy reduction initiatives.
• Coordinate with Engineering and perform equipment modifications with change control (CMR/EWR).
• Involved in safety solutions and operator training.
• Develop tools for standard equipment checks and PM optimization.
• Analyze machine failures for root cause and implement corrective actions.
• Assist in annual inspections and monitor parts spending.
• Diagnose electrical issues using a laptop and PLCs/Servos.
• Use drawing packages and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot.
• Develop standard work for troubleshooting and changeovers.
• Support new equipment installations and factory acceptance testing.
• Act as SME for maintenance SOPs and 6S on the floor.
