Job summary

CJ Schwan’s in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for night shift to manage day-to-day HR operations, talent acquisition, benefits, training, and employee engagement at a new 360,000-square-foot facility.

You will partner with managers, onboard new hires, support performance processes, generate HR reports, ensure policy compliance, and drive a positive, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of HR principles and procedures.
• Understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Resolve routine employee concerns and advise on relations.
• Communicate HR policies and benefits to staff and management.
• Support managers with employee issues and solutions.
• Assist with onboarding, recruiting, screening, and interviews.
• Assist with performance management and salary planning processes.
• Generate HR reports and analyze workforce data.
• Administer compensation and workforce planning programs.
• Coordinate training programs and development initiatives.
• Maintain confidential employee records and HR documentation.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
• Support HR projects across business units.
