Job summary

James Madison University’s Facilities Management is seeking a Night Shift Housekeeping Supervisor (Bilingual). The shift is Sunday – Thursday, 10:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m., with overtime for events and inclement weather.

You will supervise 10–25 employees, ensure cleaning and safety procedures, and maintain facilities to university standards while promoting teamwork. Bilingual English/Spanish required; valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required for written and verbal communication.
• Experience supervising 10–25 employees in housekeeping.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math and manage inventories.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 10-25 employees on night shift.
• Ensure cleaning and safety procedures are followed.
• Maintain facilities to university standards and promote teamwork.
• Prepare daily check-in sheets and requisitions for supplies and equipment; support annual inventory.
• Work during periods of authorized closings as required.
