Job summary

Mercy is seeking a House Supervisor to supervise nursing units, act as a clinical and administrative resource, and ensure admissions are placed correctly. The role involves monitoring ED throughput, staffing based on census and acuity, and upholding patient rights and Mercy standards.

The position requires completion of an accredited nursing program, Missouri RN licensure, 3–5 years of hospital nursing experience with leadership preference, and BLS/ACLS certification before orientation.

Qualifications

Education completed via an accredited nursing program.
Current Missouri RN licensure and ongoing maintenance.
Three to five years hospital nursing experience; leadership preferred.
BLS and ACLS certifications required prior to orientation.
Strong human relations and communication skills; broad clinical understanding.

Responsibilities

Assist Managers in supervising nursing units and department activities.
Serve as clinical and administrative resource for staff.
Represent Administration when not present; oversee admissions via Patient Placement.
Monitor ED throughput and adjust staffing based on census and acuity.
Maintain patient rights and confidentiality per Mercy standards.
