Qualifications

• Completion of accredited nursing program.
• Current Missouri RN license or compact licensure.
• 3–5 years hospital nursing experience; leadership/management preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications prior to orientation.
• Demonstrates strong human relations and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising nursing units and department activities.
• Act as clinical and administrative resource for staff.
• Serve as Patient Placement supervisor for admissions routing.
• Monitor ED throughput for every patient.
• Oversee staffing of inpatient units based on census, acuity and staffing grids.
• Adjust staffing as needed and ensure patient rights and confidentiality.
• Align duties with Mercy mission, values and standards.
