Job summary

Mercy is seeking a House Supervisor in Nursing Administration at Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO. This full-time 36-hour-per-week role covers 12-hour night shifts and oversees nursing unit staffing and patient flow, serving as a clinical and administrative resource for staff.

Qualifications include completion of an accredited nursing program, Missouri RN license, 3–5 years hospital nursing experience (leadership preferred), and BLS/ACLS before orientation.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited nursing program.
• Missouri RN license in good standing; maintain license or compact licensure.
• 3–5 years hospital nursing experience; leadership/management preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification prior to orientation.
• Strong human relations and communication skills; understanding of patient care processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist Managers in supervising nursing unit and department activities.
• Serve as clinical and administrative resource for staff; represent Administration when absent.
• Act as Patient Placement supervisor; manage admissions to correct division.
• Monitor ED throughput for each patient.
• Oversee staffing of inpatient units based on census, acuity and staffing grids; adjust as needed.
