Job summary

MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center is seeking a Telephone Service Representative for a full-time night shift. You will be the first point of contact for callers, provide general information, and transfer calls as needed in a busy 24/7 operation.

Schedule is 11pm–7:30am on Saturdays and Sundays, with flexible availability to work three additional weeknights. Prior switchboard or receptionist experience is preferred; strong customer service and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 months switchboard and receptionist experience required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Typing and computer skills required.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for callers and transfer calls as needed.
• Provide general information and direct callers to the appropriate department.
• Maintain logs and records in accordance with hospital procedures.
• Print replacement ID badges for associates.
• Assist during emergency situations and communicate with authorities as needed.
• Provide information about hospital services and directions to callers.
