Qualifications

• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Acts as information center, answers telephones, relays messages and screens visitors.
• Registers all patient types to ensure proper documentation, including demographic and billing data.
• Obtains signatures on all required documents.
• Checks online payors for eligibility on self-pay patients.
• Receives payments from patients and issues receipts, reconciles daily cash and verifies cash balances.
• Documents all activity in the Hospital Information System.
