Job summary

Wayne Health is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for onsite, full-time night shifts at WAYNE MED. The role involves troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, heating and HVAC systems, and maintaining hospital equipment, including x-ray processors and generators.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or trade training, plus prior facility maintenance experience. Knowledge of English, basic MS Office skills, and safety compliance are required. NC driver’s license and MVR approval may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or trade/vocation schooling is required, completion of specialized repair training preferred.
• Prior facility maintenance or construction experience is desirable.
• Basic repair and preventative maintenance tasks should be performed on equipment, fixtures and furniture.

Responsibilities

• Assist plumbers, electricians and other teammates with major repairs and equipment replacement.
• Perform basic repair and preventative maintenance on equipment and fixtures.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of work areas and ensure tools are operational.
• Respond to codes and disasters promptly as needed.
• Complete preventive maintenance documentation monthly.
