Job summary

Memorial Health in Springfield, IL is seeking a dedicated Food Service Associate to prepare a limited menu of short order foods for patients, staff, and guests. You will use a convection oven and grill, transport and serve meals, and maintain cleanliness under the late night team leader and Food and Nutrition Services management.

This full-time evening role runs 7pm–3:30am, every other weekend, with wage range USD 17.14–26.56 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Illinois Department of Public Health Food Service Sanitation Manager certification within 6 months of hire.
• One+ year of experience in food service.
• Basic computer skills; ability to work as a team member; lift up to 20 lbs; medium physical effort; work under pressure with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a limited menu of foods for customers using grill and convection oven.
• Transport, serve and clean to ensure quality for patients, staff, and guests.
• Operate food service equipment safely per directions (dishmachine, griddle, meat slicer, cash register).
• Perform daily major and heavy cleaning of food service areas per procedures.
• Maintain safety, courtesy, quality, and efficiency standards of Memorial Health System.
• Respond to alerts from temperature monitoring system as needed.
• Perform other related work as requested.
