3M HEALTHCARE is hiring for a hospital food service associate in Elgin, IL. You will accurately prepare, expedite, and deliver patient meals, assist with menu selections, and ensure trays meet dietary and safety standards.

You will handle cash-related tasks, support daily café and trayline activities, uphold HIPAA confidentiality, and collaborate with nursing staff to provide a high-quality dining experience, including rotating shifts evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year hospitality or customer service experience preferred.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Ability to count and perform basic mathematical functions.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepares, expedites, validates and delivers patient meals and nourishments.
• Assists patients with menu selection and special requests.
• Delivers and verifies meal trays and assists with opening containers.
• Communicates patient needs to nursing staff and kitchen.
• Performs daily café/trayline duties and maintains cleanliness.
• Practices HIPAA compliant communications.
