Job summary

Banner Health's Environmental Services team at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ is hiring a Housekeeping EVS Associate to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment. The role involves cleaning, sanitizing, and managing patient areas while adhering to safety protocols; you may work in morgue or COVID unit areas as needed.

The position is full-time with night shift 11:00 PM–7:30 AM, weekend and holiday rotations required.

Qualifications

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to interpret written and verbal instructions.
Effective communication with staff and visitors.
Ability to read Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and cleaning chemical instructions.
Preferred: experience in environmental services equipment.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of cleaning tasks (dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming, polishing).
Empties hampers and transports soiled linen; empties trash and medical waste containers.
Restocks supplies (toilet tissue, paper towels, hand soap).
Maintains cleanliness of equipment and logs usage.
May perform special projects (windows washing, wall washing, heavily soiled items).
Responds to questions from patients, staff, and visitors; aims for high customer service.
Works under supervision in an assigned facility/area.
