Job summary

Trinity Health's Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD seeks an Environmental Care Technician for the night shift to perform hospital housekeeping duties. The role supports the Environmental Services Department and works under supervision to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Responsibilities include following cleaning protocols, using department equipment, and accepting additional assignments to ensure service excellence.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: Some on-the-job experience as a housekeeper in Healthcare, Hotel, or Commercial cleaning preferred.
• Knowledge: Ability to read and comprehend instructions in writing and orally.
• Skills: Ability to read and write information in English regarding Duty list, Instructional information, and policies and procedures.
• Ability to use alphanumeric pager and telephone.
• Able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Be assigned to work with Assistant Director of Environmental Services or the Housekeeping Supervisor on a regular basis.
• Guided by basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures, operation and use of department equipment and supplies.
• Responsible for timely, courteous, and competent services for patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
• Accept additional assignments to provide service excellence.
• On evenings and weekends could receive direction from the Supervisor as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned
