Job summary

Holy Cross Health is seeking an Environmental Care Technician for the Evening shift at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD. The role focuses on housekeeping duties within the Environmental Services Department, reporting to the Assistant Director or Housekeeping Supervisor as needed.

Responsibilities include applying cleaning techniques, operating department equipment, and ensuring safe, timely service for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Some on-the-job experience as a housekeeper in healthcare, hotel, or commercial cleaning preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions in writing and orally.
• Ability to read and write information in English regarding duty lists, instructional information, and policies.

Responsibilities

• Work with Assistant Director of Environmental Services or Housekeeping Supervisor regularly.
• Follow cleaning techniques and use of department equipment and supplies.
• Provide timely, courteous and safe services for patients, visitors and staff.
• Accept additional assignments to support service excellence as needed.
• Evenings and weekends may involve direction from Supervisor as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
