Wellstar Health System is seeking a Housekeeper – Environmental Services Technician for full-time evenings. The role supports cleaning of hospital areas including OR suites and labs, ensuring infection prevention standards are met. Pleasant customer service is essential as staff, patients and families are engaged daily.

You will handle waste and liners, use PPE, and document tasks in the Epic system while maintaining a clean, safe environment for patients and visitors.

Qualifications

• Fluent English with ability to read and follow instructions.
• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn hospital cleaning protocols and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Performs restroom and patient room cleaning following protocol.
• Handles waste, recyclables, and hazardous materials per guidelines.
• Uses PPE correctly and follows safety procedures at all times.
• Operates Epic system to document daily tasks and bed occupancy.
• Maintains cleanliness in specialty areas and supports infection prevention.
• Provides courteous service to staff, patients and visitors.
