Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Night Shift Floor Technician / Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean and safe hospital environment. The role supports patient care areas and common spaces through routine cleaning, floor care, waste management, and special cleaning projects following infection prevention standards.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, strong English skills, and a focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

Must read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are required.
Able to lift and transport materials and operate cleaning equipment.
Complete departmental training within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Perform floor care duties including stripping, refinishing, buffing, and carpet maintenance.
Clean patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, common areas, walls, windows, and other spaces.
Follow established protocols for regular, terminal, and isolation cleaning.
Properly dispose of waste, including regulated waste streams.
Operate and maintain floor care equipment and PPE as required.
Stock supplies and report equipment issues or shortages.
Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
