Responsibilities

• Communication of information related to patients requiring placement.
• Evaluation of all procedure and surgical schedules for bed assignments after procedures.
• Evaluation of ER admissions for appropriate placement information.
• Process information from physicians for direct admits and communicate to units.
• Communicate with physicians to ensure proper placement.
• Coordinate with care coordination and/or physician advisor for incoming admissions or transfers.
• Maintain centralized information for patients requiring placement in the hospital.
• Coordinate all procedural and surgical schedules for correct placement.
• Coordinate admissions into the hospital (direct, ER, transfers).
• Coordinate unit-to-unit transfers to open beds as needed.
• Communicate patients needing emergent placement to Unit Bed Coordinator of CCU.
