Job summary

Our Hospice is hiring a Night Shift Registered Nurse (RN) for our 14 bed Inpatient Facility in Columbus, IN. An RN works with a caseload of patients and the help of Nurse Practitioners Physicians, Aides, Chaplains, and Social Workers.

Our patients and families are in the most important time of their life and need a skilled nurse to help navigate their pathway. In this position, every day is a little different.

Qualifications

• Indiana Registered Nurse license required or actively pursuing licensure in Indiana.
• CPR certification required.
• 1–3 years of health care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of hospice and palliative care principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients and families in the Hospice Inpatient Facility.
• Act as case manager for assigned patients, ensuring cost-effective and quality visits and supplies.
• Teach and counsel patient/family care techniques including pain and symptom control.
• Develop and implement the plan of care in collaboration with IDG and family.
• Coordinate with IDG and other staff to ensure timely documentation and care.
• Maintain records and communicate updates per policy and standards.
