Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Goodyear, AZ is seeking a Hopper Utility to support unloading and loading pellets and to help meet production standards at our manufacturing facility.

Shift is Monday to Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with some Saturdays as needed. Responsibilities include loading pellets, inspecting product quality, recording data, and assisting teammates while following food safety procedures and safety policies. A team-oriented attitude is essential to help us deliver quality snacks.

Qualifications

• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 70 lbs.
• Strong commitment to following personal and food safety policies.
• A team-oriented attitude and willingness to contribute to company values and goals.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load pellets into the hopper to meet production needs and product specifications.
• Inspect the quality of the product and packaging, and notify the machine operator or supervisor of any issues.
• Accurately record production data in the system.
• Communicate when production supplies are needed to ensure everything runs smoothly.
• Help out fellow team members by covering for them during breaks or absences.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a zero-accident culture by addressing any safety concerns.
• Work collaboratively with a diverse team, providing input on ways to improve processes.
• Ensure Food Safety programs are followed, reporting any issues to management.
• Help out with any other tasks as needed to support the team and achieve company goals.
