Job summary

Walworth-County is seeking a full-time snow/road maintenance technician for evening shifts to keep highways safe and county equipment in operation. Responsibilities include snow removal, plowing, fencing, pavement repairs, and equipment operation, with duties expanding during winter events.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2–3 years of maintenance experience, and a valid Wisconsin CDL Class A or B with a tanker endorsement within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two to three years of relevant maintenance/road repair experience desirable.
• Valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver's License - Class A or B required on hire.
• Tanker endorsement N required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Remove snow and de-ice assigned highways.
• Maintain and install snowplows, snow wings and sanders.
• Install and remove snow fence; patch holes in pavement.
• Repair guardrails and road shoulders; trim trees and brush from roadsides.
• Operate plow trucks and related equipment; support seasonal roadway tasks.
