Walworth County in Wisconsin is seeking an evening-shift maintenance worker to keep highways safe, maintain county equipment, buildings and grounds including parks, and follow safety policies. This position is primarily responsible for evening shift work required to maintain safe travel conditions on assigned highways and maintain the Highway Divisions equipment. This position also performs maintenance on County equipment, buildings and grounds, including parks while meeting departmental safety policies and procedures.
We are seeking candidates who would be available for full-time (40 hours per week) work through February 26, 2027. Shifts would be either 3:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. or 10:30 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. During winter snow events hours may be adjusted to cover while full-time employees are off for an overnight rest period.

High school diploma or equivalent competencies, and two to three years of relevant prior experience required. Work experience in maintenance and repair of roads and the operation of a variety of trucks and equipment is desirable.
