You will perform age- and disease-specific assessments, collect data, educate patients and families, administer medications with barcode technology, and document care according to protocols while advancing professional practice.

Qualifications

• Associate in Nursing or diploma required.
• BSN in progress or willing to pursue within 3 years.
• Six months of relevant nursing experience or Nurse Residency participation.
• Current RN license in New Jersey.
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• National certification in specialty preferred when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to patient health.
• Perform age- and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic changes in patient status.
• Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop and coordinate patient/family focused plan of care.
• Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and team.
• Administer medications using barcode technology.
• Evaluate progress toward patient outcomes and document care.
