Job summary

Park Nicollet Health Services seeks a Health Unit Coordinator to support the Family Birth Center team. The role coordinates patient care, serves as a resource to staff and patients, and helps secure the resources needed for smooth operations.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma (preferably with a Health Unit Coordinator program) and prior customer service experience, with knowledge of medical terminology and keyboarding skills. Shift is overnight with 0.7 FTE.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Completion of Health Unit Coordinator program preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Medical terminology and keyboarding skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource for unit nursing staff, allied health departments, medical staff, patients and visitors by coordinating patient care and providing information.
• Offer direction, secure assistance and resources, and troubleshoot issues to support care delivery.
• Provide exceptional customer service reflecting the hospital's mission and values.
