Job summary

Park Nicollet Health Services is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to join the Emergency Center team at Methodist Hospital. This role partners with nursing, allied health, medical staff, patients, and visitors to coordinate care, provide information, and troubleshoot to ensure smooth operations.

The position is 0.6 FTE (24 hours/week) on nights, with every 3rd weekend. A strong commitment to exceptional customer service and knowledge of medical terminology are preferred assets in this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Completion of a Health Unit Coordinator program preferred.
• Previous customer service experience, medical terminology and keyboarding skills is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource for unit nursing staff, allied health departments, medical staff, patients, and visitors by assisting with patient care coordination, providing information, giving direction, securing assistance and resources, and troubleshooting.
• Provide exceptional customer service reflecting the vision, mission, and philosophy of nursing and Park Nicollet Health Services.
