Job summary

Park Nicollet Health Services seeks a Health Unit Coordinator to support patient care coordination and information flow on the unit. The role acts as a resource to nursing staff, allied health departments, staff, patients and visitors, providing direction and troubleshooting as needed.

Expect 0.7 FTE with straight evenings and Fridays. A customer service mindset and basic health terminology proficiency are important for success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Completion of Health Unit Coordinator program preferred.
• Previous customer service experience, medical terminology and keyboarding skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource for unit nursing staff, allied health departments, medical staff, patients and visitors.
• Assist with patient care coordination and provide information and directions as needed.
• Secure assistance and resources and troubleshoot issues to support care delivery.
• Deliver exceptional customer service in alignment with Park Nicollet Health Services' mission.

Position Summary

The Health Unit Coordinator serves as a resource for unit nursing staff, allied health departments, medical staff, patients, and visitors by assisting with patient care coordination, providing information, giving direction, securing assistance and resources, and troubleshooting. This is done in a manner, which reflects the vision, mission, and philosophy of nursing and Park Nicollet Health Services. The Health Unit Coordinator is expected to provide exceptional customer service.

Work Schedule

0.7 FTE - Straight Evenings and Every Friday

Preferred Qualifications
