Job summary

Bell & Evans is seeking an experienced Assistant Hatchery Manager to lead the night shift hatchery operations. You will supervise setters and hatchers, collaborate with the Hatchery Manager, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency across departments.

This full-time role emphasizes leadership, training, and rapid decision-making to keep operations running smoothly and to promote Bell & Evans animal welfare standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to night shift technicians and hourly team members.
• Oversee setter and hatcher operations and ensure equipment and processes function properly.
• Communicate daily with Hatchery Manager and department leaders about night shift activities.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for preventative maintenance and equipment concerns.
• Train and develop team members in key positions and backup roles.
• Promote teamwork and ensure staffing meets operational priorities.
