Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Night Shift Hatchery Supervisor to oversee all hatchery operations during the night, ensuring safe working conditions, high-quality chick production, and efficient staffing across both hatcheries. The role emphasizes safety, animal welfare, production scheduling, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include payroll, inventory management, and coordinating with management to meet nightly production needs while maintaining adherence to company policies and quality

Qualifications

• One year’s or more experience in a processing or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of hatchery baby chicks and related processes.
• Previous supervisory experience is required.
• Self-motivated and detail oriented with good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to recognize unsafe conditions and act to prevent them.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Oversee all hatchery operations during the night shift.
• Ensure eggs are processed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Coordinate with Hatchery Management to align nightly schedules with production needs.
• Manage staffing levels and payroll for hatchery employees.
• Collect and manage quality performance data and report trends.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
• Order supplies for both hatcheries, including vaccines and materials.
• Collaborate with management to resolve operational or personnel issues.
