Job summary

Bell & Evans is seeking an experienced Assistant Hatchery Manager to lead our night shift hatchery operations. This role collaborates with the Hatchery Manager and provides leadership to night shift technicians while supporting Maintenance, Sanitation, and Operations activities.

The ideal candidate will ensure setters and hatchers operate safely and efficiently, make sound decisions, communicate across departments, develop team members, and respond quickly to unexpected issues in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• College education preferred but not required.
• 3–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in live operations is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to night shift technicians and hourly team members.
• Oversee setter and hatcher operations and ensure equipment and processes are functioning properly.
• Communicate daily with the Hatchery Manager and department leaders regarding night shift activities.
• Make timely decisions and take appropriate action when issues arise with setters, hatchers, or other hatchery operations.
• Review checklists to ensure tasks are completed accurately.
