Job summary

You will support the department manager to reach sales goals and uphold the Customer 1st strategy, while following safety protocols and contributing to a positive shopping experience for all customers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers and answer questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to inquiries with recommendations.
• Recommend grocery items and inform customers of specials.
• Check product quality, review dates, and take action as needed.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise and provide fresh products.
• Report discrepancies in ordering/shipping to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures.
• Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs.
• Notify management of accidents and safety risks.
