You will provide care, monitor for complications, educate patients and families on post-surgical care and restrictions, and collaborate with surgeons, hospitalists, and care teams to support safe transitions home.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Valid RN license in Connecticut.
• 1+ years of General Surgery, Med/Surg, or Acute Inpatient nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to post-operative general surgery patients, including assessment and pain management.
• Coordinate with surgeons, hospitalists, and care teams to support recovery and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families on post-surgical care and activity restrictions.
