Employment Type: Full time Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift Description: Position Purpose At Saint Mary’s Hospital, the Registered Nurse (RN) in the Inpatient General Surgery unit delivers high-quality, patient-centered care to adult and geriatric surgical patients throughout their inpatient stay. This role focuses on post-operative recovery, ongoing assessment, and coordination of care, ensuring safe outcomes and a smooth transition from hospitalization to home or the next level of care.
What You Will Do Provide comprehensive nursing care to post-operative general surgery patients, including assessment, pain management, wound care, and monitoring for complications. Collaborate with surgeons, hospitalists, case management, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient progression, recovery, and discharge planning. Educate patients and families on post-surgical care, medications, activity restrictions, and recovery expectations to promote safe transitions.
Full-Time: 36 hrs/week – Night Shift 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays
Hourly Staff RN position; pay range: $36.15 – $59.95/hour Pay is based on working RN experience only. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
