Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT, part of Trinity Health Of New England, seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager to lead an inpatient General Surgery unit. You will guide senior clinical practice, improve throughput, and support high-acuity postoperative care with a focus on safety and evidence-based care.

You will mentor staff, coordinate staffing, and influence daily operations across shifts, promoting professional development and collaboration within a busy surgical service.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut or Multistate RN license.
• BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Preferred MSN and inpatient leadership experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide visible hands-on clinical leadership and bedside coaching.
• Support safe, high-quality care for medical oncology and surgical patients.
• Serve as a clinical resource for symptom management and clinical decisions.
• Support admissions, transfers, discharges, and patient throughput.
• Promote evidence-based practices, safety initiatives, and quality improvement.
• Mentor RNs and charge nurses; support professional development.
• Assist with staffing coordination and shift continuity.
