Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Valid RN license in Connecticut.
• 1+ year of General Surgery, Med/Surg, or Acute Inpatient nursing experience preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification preferred; certification support offered post-hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to post-operative general surgery patients.
• Collaborate with surgeons, hospitalists, case management, and interdisciplinary teams for recovery and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families on post-surgical care, medications, activity restrictions, and recovery expectations.
