Job summary

Dessert Holdings in Aurora, CO, is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Tech I for the 3rd shift (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM). The role supports the Quality team on night shift, verifying product process checks, CCP compliance, and proper packaging to ensure food safety and quality of Steven Charles products.

Training is provided; benefits include medical/dental/vision plans and paid time off. You will work with SOPs, HACCP, GMP, and SQF standards, performing sensory evaluations and data entry, and

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret SOPs and follow quality instructions.
• Experience with basic in-house quality checks and documentation.
• Comfort with computer-based data entry and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Performs process check verifications such as weight, height, width, length, diameter, perfect packaging on food samples.
• Monitors CCP and preventive controls like temperature, metal detectors, X-ray detectors.
• Checks quality checkpoints on production lines to ensure compliance with specs.
• Performs product reviews and sensory evaluation for taste, appearance and flavor.
• Collects and preserves food ingredient and finished product samples for lab testing and retention.
