Job summary

Dessert Holdings in Aurora, CO is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Technician I for the 3rd shift (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM). You will verify product process checks, monitor CCPs, and ensure compliance with SQF, HACCP and GMP across production lines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or prior experience in food safety, quality
• Ability to interpret SOPs and follow instructions
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Performs process check verifications such as weight and packaging on food samples.
• Monitors CCPs and preventive controls to ensure food safety.
• Checks quality checkpoints on production lines for compliance.
• Performs product reviews and sensory evaluation on the line.
• Collects ingredients and finished product samples for testing and retention.
• Conducts pre-op inspections and ensures machines are cleaned and ready.
• Completes daily paperwork and data entry accurately.
• Communicates issues to leads and supervisors for corrective action.
• Ensures work aligns with written specifications and requirements.
• Monitors labels for regulatory and customer requirements; conducts audits.
